A generation that will activate the economic development of the Pacific region of Colombia
On February 23, five Magísteres Visibles from Buenaventura, Quibdó, Cali, and Santander de Quilichao join the more than 300 leaders we have empowered through providing postgraduate scholarships at the best universities in the country. This cohort of entrepreneurs and managers is graduating from the MBA program at Universidad Icesi, establishing a large network of new leaders who will revitalize and strengthen the business sector in the Colombian Pacific region.
With these master’s degrees, the beauty, food, agribusiness, and health sectors are strengthened, industries that will improve employment, guaranteeing autonomy and regional leadership.
The Ethnic Power Fund is a commitment of Manos Visibles to reduce social inequality gaps through high caliber education and since 2020 the Fund has been managed in partnership with the Ford Foundation.
We are proud of this new cohort that fosters transformations in strategic areas of development in territories such as the Pacific, the Caribbean and the Amazon, creating a business network that includes new leadership and advocacy. During this ceremony, Esteban Piedrahita, President of the Universidad Icesi and our Deputy Technical Director Edwin Dorado provided support for our Magísteres Visibles.
